after watching the melodrama-injected 1987 version of Bret Easton Ellis' novel
Less Than Zero, ash and I decided that someone needs to do a remake with more 80s nostalgia and camp and less lifetime synth music and crying. we even went to the trouble to recast the movie ourselves, to save the studio time and money and get this project started. here are our picks for the noveau riche:
Clay: boy-next-door looks, flashes of sympathy, bad suits,
Shia LeBeoufBlair: Marisa Cooper-esque cokehead, no parental guidance,
Mischa BartonJulian: drug dealer/junkie, man-whore, puppy dog eyes,
Michael Pitt?Rip: king dealer, pimp, totally creepy,
Robert Downey, Jr.RDJ was my first childhood crush and he wore awesome shoes in the original. Now if only we could cast Ally Sheedy as Clay's mother...
